Editorial Review
The whole gang from the always popular Toy Story 2 movie is represented in this entertaining game and activity cartridge compatible with the V Smile system from V-Tech. Join Woody and Buzz as they guide kids through a series of basic games that teach and reinforce basic preschool skills like letters, vocabulary, math, logic, rudimentary geometry, spatial skills, and map reading. There are two modes of play, Learning Zone and Learning Adventure, with the latter being a little more game-oriented and the former more built around drills. Different kids will gravitate to different activities but there is enough variety here to find something that they will like. --Charlie Williams

Just Okay

So my four year old daughter LOVES LOVES LOVES Toy Story II, but she was not in love with this game. It is very short and does not take long to play at all. You move a Cone covered Buzz across a street, trying not to get hit by a car or dog. Then you are in front of automatic doors with T-Rex and Ham and you have to jump at the exact same time they do to get the doors open. At the time you (an adult) get the feel for when they are going to jump they all fall over because someone is coming. Then you are on a run through a toy store picking up the capital letters (Stupid, my 4 year old was super bored here). You then have to go through air conditioning vent maze saving aliens while trying not to get poked by nails or zapped by Zurg, then there are the conveyor belts, Sheriff punches you and you have to add up 2 boxes that look like dice, a little hard being that they are moving along a conveyor belt at a decent speed. There is also a race to the airport the most entertaining because you can honk the horn at slower cars and even "bump" into them. I think Vtech did a better job with some of the other games. I would pass on this one unless it goes on sale.

my kids enjoy it
My 4 and 6 year old really love to play v-tech and their toy story game. I think the moves can be difficult for a child who is not video game savvy (my kids do not own any other video games) but if a child can manuever through mario this may be simple to them. To me this was well worth the $20!

Toy Story II Smartridge
I bought this for my four year old, because she likes Toy Story and Toy Story II she was excited to see this game for V-Smile, so when we got it we put it in, and I sat down with her to see how she liked the game, she played it for maybe 20 minutes the first time, she said she didnt like it, it wasnt that fun, the part that she liked about it the most was driving the car on the road. I must say I sat down and played that one, and that one was pretty amusing. But the game all in all was only ok.
